During her residency in the Centre for Drawing Lucy considered the place of her performed drawings in the context of her whole practice. At this informal gathering Lucy Algar exhibited her work created during her time at the Centre for Drawing, and discussed the experience of being in residence.
Lucy Algar is an artist, performance designer and educator. Drawing has always been the central investigative tool of her practice, bringing clarity to her designs for a wide-ranging mix of work. Her work with dancer and choreographer Kirill Burlov, most recently as artists in residence at Acts Re-Acts 2017, has enabled Lucy to follow new lines and directions.
The Centre for Drawing hosts a series of informal residencies.
